CLC’s Lakeshore Campus is a vibrant urban campus in Waukegan, Illinois, thirty minutes east of CLC’s Grayslake Campus.

Built in and for the community, Lakeshore offers programs for adult learners and traditional age college students. Lakeshore is home to transfer-path classes and career-building programs, some of which offer free tuition.

  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    The Welcome and One Stop Center (WOSC) is your go-to for questions about registering for class, making payments, financial aid and transferring to a 4-year school. The LancerZone campus store has course materials, snacks and great CLC swag.

    The new Student Center is large, bright and LEED certified with bird-friendly windows. The library is a quiet place to study or borrow resources, including laptops and WiFi hotspots. Hang out with friends to catch up between classes or work on a group project.

  • The dental hygiene clinic at Lakeshore Campus

    Advanced healthcare labs

    The campus is home to the phlebotomy, medical assisting and dental hygiene programs. Simulation labs help you develop hands-on skills with guidance from expert faculty. A low-cost dental hygiene clinic lets hygienists-in-training practice skills while serving Lake County residents.

    Mechatronics, HVAC/R labs

    Train for high-demand careers in mechatronics and HVAC/R, or heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. The mechatronics lab explores engineering, electronics and robotic systems. In the mobile HVAC/R lab, learn to use instruments and equipment to excel in this field.

    Eleanor Murkey Community Center

    Located on the top floor of the new Student Center, the center commands a magnificent view of Lake Michigan. On a clear day, you can see the Chicago skyline. Study, gather or host your event here. The Center is named after the first dean of the Lakeshore campus.

    Lakeshore Campus is located near Waukegan Harbor and Lake Michigan beaches, perfect places to explore for a break between classes. The new Urban Farm Center, opening soon, promotes sustainable agriculture and resilient food systems.

We have designated parking areas on campus for use by students, faculty, staff and visitors. CLC parking lots are idle-free zones. Please abide by the parking rules and regulations established by the College of Lake County Police Department.

Where to park

Parking for students, staff and visitors is available in the CLC Lakeshore Campus parking facility. The facility is located at 30 N. Sheridan Rd., just east of the Lakeshore Campus South Building (33 N. Genesee Street).

All vehicles and pedestrians must vacate the parking lot by closing hours. The facility is locked overnight. Vehicles that remain in the garage after closing can be accessed the following college business day at 7 a.m.
